Questions about honor gifts
Can I honor a dog who is still with us?
Yes. Choose In honor of for a dog who is still here, a birthday, an adoption day or any day worth marking. Choose In memory of for a dog who has passed.
Can I give it as a gift to someone else?
Yes. Add their dog’s name as the honoree, then add Notify recipient and enter the person’s name and email address so they hear about it. It makes a sympathy gift for a friend who has lost a dog, or a present for a dog lover who already has everything.
Can I give every month in their name?

Is my gift tax deductible?
Big Marv’s Legacy is a registered 501(c)(3), so gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Any tip you leave for Givebutter goes to Givebutter, not to us, and is not deductible as a donation.
What is the tip on the donation form?
Our donation form is run by Givebutter, who charge us nothing to use it. Instead they ask donors for an optional tip, which goes to Givebutter. You can change it or set it to zero, and the amount we receive is exactly the same either way.
